Kudos and Awards (highlights from 2019-2020).

Guillaume was recently awarded the prestigious 2019 Killam Postdoctoral Research Prize! As noted by the University Awards Committee, “This significant achievement is awarded to some of the University’s brightest young researchers.”

Ricardo successfully defended his MSc Thesis (with honours) at the tail end of 2019. Subsequently, his thesis was awarded the Best MSc thesis in the Faculty of Forestry for that year. This is a truly remarkable accomplishment! The title of Ricardo’s is: Whose expertise counts? Assisted migration and the politics of knowledge.

Our newest lab member, Marina Melanidis was recently awarded a SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship for her Master’s program of research. Congratulations Marina!! The title for her thesis is: Big ideas with big potential impacts: Examining how nature-based solutions are (re-)shaping relations of conservation governance. Stay tuned for more details!
